Six killed in a double suicide attack
– Two suicide bombers attacked the village of Nguetchewe in Cameroon’s northern border region with Nigeria
– At least six people were killed and over 30 injured
– A police source said that several children were among the victims
At least six people were killed on Wednesday, February 10, in a double suicide attack in the village of Nguetchewe, which lies close to the border with Nigeria, The Punch reports.
Security sources told AFP that two female bombers “blew themselves up at 6:20 am, just when people who had spent the night there were preparing for a meal”.
A police source said that between 30-50 people were injured in the attack adding that several children were among the victims.
Those who sustained serious injuries were evacuated to a regional hospital in Maroua.

In recent months, Cameroon has become a target for suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
