What Majid Michel said about love and sex

Celebrity Gist : As many couples are increasingly getting married, so is the rate of divorce and separation also increasing. In that light, Popular Star Actor Majid Michel who celebrated his 10 years wedding anniversary in August 2015, shares his opinion about a successful marriage;

During an interview with GhanaCelebrities , the actor stated that those looking to get married need to have information about marriage before going into it. Contrary to what many young or newly married couples believe about love and romance, it has nothing to do with a successful marriage.
In his words:

“Love does not keep a marriage, divorced people will tell you that. What happened to – I love you, that we used to be in love. Love does not keep a marriage and Sex is not a glue. Love and Sex never keeps a marriage.”

The father of 2 further went on to say that he has learnt a lot over the years, that knowledge and understanding played a key role in his success. He also mentioned that the key to a successful marriage requires both parties assisting each other to acquire their dreams or goals.

“You need to know about marriage, you tell a girl or a boy I love you but, do you love marriage? – – – Marriage is an institution, telling somebody a vow is not a marriage – – – Knowledge is information and you need a lot of information about marriage, then when you understand this information, you comprehend it and you tell yourself, i am ready to do it not because i love her but because i am ready to help her achieve her dreams.”
