– Senator Ben Murray-Bruce celebrates 60th birthday in style at Eko Hotel, Lagos on Friday, February 19
– Urges Don Jazzy and D’banj to work together on a song for his sake
– A-list entertainers were in attendance even as Don Jazzy leaves venue following hints that he would join D’banj on stage for a performance
At the 60 th birthday celebration of Ben Murray-Bruce which held at Eko Hotel in Lagos on Friday night, the senator made a clarion call for the Oliver Twist singer and Don Jazzy to come together and work on a song once again.
He said: “Please do this for me, it is my birthday request.”
To which D’banj responded saying he is ready to do a track with the producer upon getting a beat.
He said: “Sir, I have given serious consideration to this.
“Before I came on stage, I went to Don Jazzy and asked him to join me on stage….If he (Don Jazzy) gives me a beat today, the song will be ready the next day.”
This is not the first time a public appeal will be made for both stars to come together and work on a song.
At Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia’s 40 th birthday in September, 2015, the African Queen singer made a public appeal to both entertainers to come together and work on a song together and Dban’j showed same gesture he showed yesterday.
It is now very clear that one party is in need of the collaboration than then other given their body languages, but it remains to be seen what comes out of this.
Meanwhile, following several allegations that the Dorobucci producer refused to join D’banj on stage yesterday he has expressed his side of things in the following tweets.
He explained that he had decided to take a break as an artist.
