Dj Tee Recording Contract With J Ten Expires
We would like to announce that the recoding contract between Dj Tee and J Ten has expired. The contract which was signed on the 2nd of February 2015, with contract term of one year/one album, expired on the second of February 2016.
The contract saw to the production of the Dj Tee studio album “Take Over” which was launched on the 29th of November 2015 and was well attended by friends, family, colleagues, loved ones etc.
The contract also saw to the recording and release of three singles, “Dance 4 Me” featuring Lil Jay which was released on the 13th March 2015, “Turn Up” featuring M2 and was released on the 23rd of May, 2015, “Yentown Boys/Girls” featuring top acts from Bayelsa State was released on the 1st of October 2015. The recording contract was limited to Bayelsa State which made the Dj feature acts from within the state only.
The contract which expired on the 2nd of February is yet to be renewed. Following the success recorded from the previous contract, both parties (Dj/J Ten Nigeria) have agreed to a new contract but no documents have been signed yet. The new contract will be bigger, better, will have a bigger budget to work with and will not be restricted to a particular region. This will enable the Dj, feature and work with acts from within and outside the country.
Although the previous contract expired about 11 days ago, the Dj still maintains a good working relationship with the record label as he was offered a temporary position in the label.
The Dj Tee “Take Over” album has also been nominated in the forthcoming BMA Awards as best album.
Some photos from the album launch will be released shortly.
