PDP CHIEFTAIN ARRESTED, ARRAIGNED FOR ALLEGED CONSPIRACY, FORGERY


Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Asaba, Delta State, Mr Uzoma Idaboh has been arrested by the Nigerian Police for alleged criminal conspiracy and forgery.
Idaboh, owner of popular Nelrose Hotel, Asaba was an aspirant in the 2015 Delta House of Assembly Election in Aniocha North Local Government Area.
He was arraigned at the Issele-Uku Magistrate Court before Chief Magistrate Roseline Ewerebor for alleged forgery and conspiracy.
At the hearing on Wednesday, the charges of conspiracy and alleged forgery were read before the accused who pleaded not guilty to the two-count charges. He was alleged to have forged the PDP Primary election result sheets conducted last year, 2015 at the Martin’s Primary School, Issele-Uku
in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the State, an offence committed under section 123 1999 Delta State Law of criminal Code.
In his application for bail, Counsel to the accused person, Mr Joseph Okoh pleaded with the court to grant his client bail based on the fact that the offence he allegedly committed was a bail-able offence in line with the law, despite its seriousness.
