See Celine Dion's Touching message to her fans

So heartbreaking. Celine Dion is still mourning the death of her husband, Rene Angelil, and took to her website on Jan. 29 to thank fans for how supportive they’ve been since his sad passing on Jan. 14. Read her touching message here.

Rene Angelil , after a long battle with throat cancer on Jan. 14, and two weeks later, she has officially broken her silence on her website. See what she had to say in a sweet message to fans right here.

“My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days,” she wrote . “We have felt your love for Rene, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during the most difficult time… more than you’ll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would also like to sincerely thank the Quebec Government for honoring Rene with National Funerals as well as many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name. We will never forget all the kindness that you have bestowed upon us.”
Rene’s funeral was held on Jan. 22 at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, which is the same church he and Celine Dion got married in back in 1994. The 47-year-old kept a brave face on while arriving to the ceremony with the couple’s three kids, and joined thousands of mourners to lay Rene to rest.

Sadly, Celine lost her brother, Daniel Dion , to cancer just days after Rene died , but she surprisingly didn’t mention him at all in the message on her website. The “Because You Loved Me” singer has luckily been on a break from work over the last few weeks, but is expected to return to the stage at her Las Vegas residency at the end of February.
