“After years of trying to make their relationship work, it looks as though they’re figuring out their exit strategies,” OK ! magazine reports. But don’t expect divorce papers to be filed right away — the superstars are both very busy with their careers, and are trying to keep the split low key for now.

Don’t forget, the pair has suffered from relationship problems in the past. Ever since a report surfaced in 2004 that David had cheated, he’s been accused on infidelity on numerous occasions, although both stars have vehemently denied the claims. “Plenty of marriages would have ended under the strain,” the mag reports. “I think it’s part of the reason Victoria has become so reclusive. Certainly, [the reports] put a damper on their romance. At this point, they seem sick of each other.
