GOOD NEWS for Nollywood...The masterminds of video piracy in Nigeria, John Ani and Ogbonna were successfully tracked and arrested in their houses last night. This was the efforts of Gabosky and my humble self.
These duo runs the biggest piracy warehouses in Alaba. We chose to keep the operation to ourselves and ran on personal funds just because of the sensitivity of the operation. We are going out for more to nip piracy. Rejoice comrades and demonstrate your support...Update --- We successfully secured and executed a reprimand order from the court on Eze Obasi who used Emmanuel Obasi the last time he was caught. He is now at Ikoyi prisons.
Thanks to Mr. Ezeilo of Nig. Copyright Commission who is desirous to redeem the lost images of the commission. We have also secured a warrant to raid Alaba market tomorrow for machines and other possible exhibits. We know they may move away some whares tonight, but we are hopeful that we will succeed tomorrow because we are prepared more than they estimate.
The real names of the kingpins apprehended last night are; John Abba and Ogbonna Nwite. We need to sustain these raids. In whatever way practitioners can be of financial assistance in order to sustain this will be fantastic. There is limit to which we can go as individuals. But, joint effort will take us real far.
