Corey Lewandowski, 41, the campaign manager for Donald Trump, 69, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery on March 29 for allegedly assaulting former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields , 28, at a March 8 press conference in Jupiter, Florida. Michelle alleged that Corey forcefully grabbed her while she was trying to talk to the GOP frontrunner, and the moment was caught on camera. Michelle was just trying to do her job, asking Trump a question about affirmative action as he exited the building after his press conference at Trump National Golf Club , when Corey grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the presidential candidate, as seen in police footage (watch above!). Michelle immediately complained about the incident, even posting photos of her bruises, but she didn’t get much support. Her employers,
Breitbart News, are notorious Trump supporters , and refused to take her side; she and a multitude of other reporters resigned over the betrayal!
Now, weeks later, Corey turned himself in to Jupiter police on March 28 at 8:00am over the charges, according to their police blotter. Police said that the footage backs up Michelle’s argument . This isn’t even Corey’s first tussle with someone at a Trump rally. He was accused of yanking a young man’s collar, when the kid was attending a rally in Tucson, Arizona in early March. Yikes.

Of course, Trump and his camp are denying that Corey’s responsible of any wrongdoing , and backing him 100%. “Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge,” their statement read. “”He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court. He is completely confident that he will be exonerated.”
